Career opportunities

We have job vacancies from time to time which are advertised on the NHS JOBS website.

Visiting scholar scheme

Our prestigious international visiting scholar scheme provides opportunities for 3 month sabbaticals. In recent years we have welcomed clinicians from Thailand, Hong Kong, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and Italy.

There is great demand for the scheme. Application is via a letter stating your objectives for the Sabbatical, what you feel you would offer the Centre and what requirements for supervision you envisage. Your CV including contact details for two referees should be included with your application. An arrangement and supervision fee is charged and we advise scholars to seek funding from their local research or education council for living expenses. Interview and satisfactory references are required. Please get in touch to find out more about this scheme.

Placements

We offer training placements for students on psychology, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy and have existing arrangements with local education providers in this respect. If your institution wishes to consider an education placement with us, please contact us. In some cases a bench fee and supervision costs would apply.

Volunteering

We have often been approached by people wanting to volunteer directly to contribute to our work. Short term volunteer placements for graduates seeking experience throughout our neuro-rehab business unit are welcomed to apply to the Centre stating their availability and objectives. From time to time we may also post more information on volunteering opportunities on the careers section of our website.
