24 Apr 2017
On Sunday 22nd April 2017 our Lead Occupational Therapist (OT), Mrs Susan Brentnall, took part in her first Virgin London Marathon.
In addition to a full time job as our Lead OT, Sue has been training hard over the past 12 months. The London Marathon was only her second marathon after recently completing the Manchester Marathon 3 weeks ago. According to Sue, the Manchester Marathon was just a "long training run"!
Sue ran an incredible time of 5 hours 3 minutes (including giving hugs and waves to her supporters along the way). She managed to look amazingly fresh at the finish. She may need some walking aids for the next couple of weeks though! But the pain is all for our centre's gain: Sue has raised over £2000 for the OZC Charitable Trust Fund which is used towards enhancing facilities for our clients and their families. A big thanks and congratulations to Super Sue!
